Graf Marine

Circular Manufacturing

Grafmarine

Grafmarine is moving towards a net-zero future by following the principles of a circular economy. Our focus on sustainability aims to eliminate waste, re-circulate materials at their highest value, lower emissions in our production processes, extend the life of our systems, and deliver practical end-of-life solutions.

According to the UN, more than 640,000 tonnes of commercial fishing equipment, including nets, lines and traps, are discarded at sea every year. We are now in the process of prototyping the use of recycled net fibres and other post-consumer recyclables in the production of our clean energy platform.

Grafmarine

Our long-term sustainability strategy focuses on responsible manufacturing, material selection and end-of-life management.

Non-critical parts will be made from recycled fishing nets and second-life plastics.

Blockchain parts management will be deployed for preventive maintenance.

A fully recycled option will be available within 5 years, including PV modules.

A second life programme will help developing countries with renewable energy.

We are committed to driving progress without compromising the environment. By adopting this circular approach, we are delivering sustainable, resilient and robust solutions that will have a positive economic, social and environmental impact for generations to come.
